Fleece Artist Heaven
On Friday I had the delirious pleasure of a trip to Mineville to pick up my latest yarn order at Fleece Artist. As always it was a celebration of the senses.Because Mineville is about a half-hour's drive outside the city for me, I usually turn a trip to the Fleece Artist into a mini-day trip, complete with treats. A day out and a day off. I started off by picking up a special cup of coffee and a French pastry at a local patisserie, Julien's, to take for the ride. I chose a route which takes me along the seashore, in a winding route, with beautiful vistas of land and sea along the way. How I love these familiar scenes before me!
And when I arrived at the Fleece Artist, instead of finding the pot at the end of the rainbow, I found the rainbow itself.

These are some of the new colours of Woolie Silk 3-Ply that I am going to try out. It is a light worsted weight yarn, 65% wool and 35% silk, with a classic feel and lovely hand. It is a joy to knit.
To see the colours I currently stock, you may see them here and here. Be sure to scoll down the page to see all the different colours!
I have been using Woolie Silk for several of my newest designs: Manon and Musetta in the Opera Season Collection.
It also works well with many of my other designs as well.

Since one huge bag filled with yarn is never enough for any knitter, I had to have a second bag as well.
These are some the colours that I have in stock: Salt Spray, Bronze, Amethyst, Nova Scotia.
And there is a new colour sneaking in: Glacier.
Now it's off to the yarn swift to convert some of these skeins to balls of yarn that I can actually play with...
Who said there was no such thing as heaven on earth?
