Could It Be…Felting?

Yes, I am trying my hand at felting.
I didn't think I ever would, but after seeing some fine examples of felted bags that friends of mine have made, I just had to give it a try. And I am loving it.
There is a danger that I might start felting everything I am making these days. At the very least, I am felting my swatches. And enjoying checking on them, seeing how they dry (are they dry yet?), and feeling their different textures, some thick and hard, some more flexible.
I was convinced to explore felting further when I purchased the book on shibori knitted felt by Alison Crowther-Smith:

So many ideas, especially when you start to manipulate the fabric before and after felting and interfere with the process. The effects you can achieve are intriguing.

I am working on some possibilities for future patterns...
