Respecting Nature Photographers

I have a new found respect for nature photographers.
Getting a good shot of Nature's moving beauties takes skill--and patience. Lots and lots of patience. I had a chance to experience this in a small way the other day when I visited a public building here in Halifax which I knew in advance had an aquarium. One with the most beautiful tropical fish.
No surprise that I would be taking my camera on the next visit. Thinking that I would be dealing with a case of sitting ducks, I expected to get a few shots in and go home.
No such luck. Even after a hundred shots--thank goodness for digital photography--I didn't feel I had anything all that worthwhile. I found myself quietly saying to myself, "Stay still, why don't you?"

At least the scenery co-operated.

And then, sometimes, you get lucky...
