A Walk on the Beach

Although Nova Scotia boasts beautiful sandy beaches, some of the more dramatic ones are where rock and sea come face to face. One of our favourite hikes is Crystal Crescent Beach, a series of crescent-shaped beaches that eventually lead to the rock faces seen here.
When I am on these rocks, I cannot help but be fascinated by all the shapes and textures these granite boulders present. And the variations on grey! Anyone who thinks grey is boring should come here, on a sunny spring day.

We clamoured over these rocks on Sunday, some of us with more skill than I. Hannah used her rock-climbing skills and got her first bout of sunbathing in as well.

While I couldn't stop contemplating the rocks all around...
