Antique Lace Rises Again

I am constantly amazed by the resilience of this pattern: Antique Lace.
It has been a consistent best-selling pattern over the years. But it has now been almost 5 years since I first published it. Yet, after I did my statistics for April, there it was again, this time in the number 2 spot.
There are probably a number of reasons for its allure. The lacy stitch pattern is quite easy, but doesn't look it. It has just enough variety to keep it interesting.

The stepped front also makes for a slim look. Many knitters with ample proportions have opted for this pattern and found success with it.
It is sized from Small to 2X.

The beautiful yarn may have something to do with it, too. Handmaiden's Lady Godiva with its silk and merino wool content is a dream to knit. Luscious in the hand and on the body.
It's verstaile, too. Wear it with a string of pearls over a camisole for a special evening or pull it over a shirt with jeans for a casual look.

If you haven't checked it out yet, take a look. I offer it as a kit with Fleece Artist's Woolie Silk 3-Ply--which also has wool-and-silk content, but with a bit more wool to give the piece stability and wearability.
Choose a solid colour for the best stitch definition.
Oh, and by the way, the other two best sellers in April were Bermuda and Afternoon Breezes.
