Everyone’s Favourite Colour
Is blue everyone's favourite colour?
In my very unscientific study of colour requests for my current special, "Enhance Your Stash", blue seems to be everyone's favourite colour. Well, at least most people's. 9 out of every 10 requests is for blue or blues and greens.
This is borne out by my other very unscientific study of yarn sales over the years. Without a doubt, my all-time best-selling colour is "Salt Spray" in Fleece Artist's Woolie Silk 3-Ply.
And "Nova Scotia" is very popular, too (shown in the Lake of the Woods capelet seen above).
The Queen of the Waves in Lucy Neatby's Celestial Merino in "Skye" is making a comeback as well.
Blue is a versatile, many-mooded hue. It combines well with other colours. See it here with browns, beige, and greys in the Open Waters wrap.
I have to confess that blue is one of my favourite colours, too. I always gravitate to the blues whenever I am in a yarn store and am making a selection.
There is a haunting quality to blue that is irresistible....
