Fair Tradewind
Last week I had the delightful task of replenishing my supply of Celestial Merino yarn and just had to make a trip to Tradewind Knitwear Designs in Dartmouth (just across the harbour). There waiting for the picking was this delicious array of Celestial Merino solids and handpainteds:

It's enough to make one delirious. It's a good thing that I had my list with me, or I would have gone completely crazy, choosing from every colour. Even so, I had to exercise strict discipline to stay focussed on my list. By the end, I had veered just a little here and there...
Tradewind Knitwear is the brainchild of none other than the amazing--and indefatigable--Lucy Neatby:
Designer, teacher, problem solver, DVD performer, and friend to knitters everywhere. Her latest venture has been a series of the highest quality DVD's, her Knitter's Companion series, in which she teaches the many tricks and techniques that she has developed throughout her career.
But if you ever have a chance to take a class from Lucy in person, then don't miss the opportunity.
On the home front, Lucy is aided by her companions and co-workers (among others who either were not in attendance that day or who resisted having their pictures taken). Here, though, are Susan and Kathleen:

Please note the stash that Kathleen is putting together, angel that she is. Because it is the one that I would be taking home that day...
