Favourite New Book
I have a favourite new book: Knitting Lace Triangles by Evelyn A. Clark . Many of you will recognize Evelyn's name as the designer of the popular Flower Basket Shawl published in Interweave Knits some issues ago.
Published by Fiber Trends , this little book is everything-you-wanted-to-know-but-were-afraid-to-ask about knitting triangular-shaped shawls. Evelyn Clark demystifies the essential construction of these versatile garments and takes you step-by-step through the process of working your own lace triangles.
I am very excited to see a book of this kind, one that explains the process clearly, while at the same time, presenting examples that a knitter can follow on his/her own. It is exactly the kind of book that I would like to write myself one day. (Sigh!)
Now you, too, can devise your own version of a triangular lace shawl--for yourself or for a lucky friend.
