LK Yarns in Halifax has worked up a few new samples of my designs. I stopped by last week to photograph two of them.
Above is their version of Afternoon Breezes. A very different interpretation of the design, largely because of the choice of yarn and colour. Their sample is worked in size Extra Small with Needful Yarns "Trillium" in blue.
Unfortunately Needful Yarns are no longer available. Trillium is a perfect match for this design, being 70% viscose rayon and 30 % linen. The rayon gives the yarn a beautiful hand and drape, while the linen maintains body and strcuture.

Another sample at LK Yarns is the Lady of the Forest . This is LK's second version of this popular pattern.

This gorgeous sample is worked in Noro's Aya (50% cotton, 35% silk, 15% wool) in colour #12--rust, pink, cream, and greys. The hand of this yarn is perfect for the Lady. And the self-striping yarn does all the work, as it evolves into harmonious stripes of colour while you knit. Each piece knit with this yarn will be different, even when worked in the same colourway.

So elegant and so easy to wear.
Thanks, Louise, for these other views on my designs.
