Juliette

Here is Juliette, the fourth pattern in the Opera Season II Collection: A demure capelet for the tragic heroine of Gounod's opera Romeo et Juliette.

Each layer of this capelet is worked separately in a lace-and textured stitch pattern from the bottom up. The regular decreases help to create the bell-like fluted edging.
The two layers are then joined at the top with a folded hem. An I-cord is attached to serve as a tie.
There are different ways that you can wear this piece. Depending on your colour choice, it can be your special evening adornment or a casual, everyday accessory. Wear it in a seductive manner with the bare shoulders exposed. Or over the shoulders like a more chaste collar.

Because the piece is quite long, it can be worn loose, like a scarf. Wrap it twice around your neck and it will keep you warm on cold days.

All you have to do now is choose your yarn and colourway to create your very own version of this design.
