Knitter’s Frolic

Back home now from Toronto and that heady day at the Knitter's Frolic. Here my friend, Laura, is putting the last touches to our booth before the knitters arrive.

Another view of the booth, before total dishevelment commenced.
I had wanted to include photos of the day, with the knitters present, but, well, we were too busy. Knitters came to try on the garments, to peruse the patterns, to introduce themselves from Ravelry, to talk about their experiences when knitting with my patterns. They were enthusiastic, but also gave constructive comments. It was great.
We were also very lucky in our booth neighbours.

Don and Buffy Taylor from Shelridge Farms were on one side. Their booth was fabulous, with the most dramatic layout of both yarn and samples made with their yarn. Don also played the role of handyman, helping us out with our booth construction. Thanks again, Don.
On the other side was the beautiful Larisa Vilensky from Headwater Wool. Larisa somehow managed to both host her booth AND teach a workshop. She also had yarn in every conceivable colour.
The best part for me, though, was spending the day with my friend, Laura, who helped out with my booth. Laura is an old friend from librarian days in Halifax, during which we always also shared our love of knitting. The day would not have been half as much fun without you, Laura. Thanks so much!
