Opera Season II

I have been so enjoying "going to the opera" at my local movie theatre to see the Metropolitan Opera's live HD transmissions that another Opera Season Collection was inevitable. For Spring 2011, I am launching my Opera Season II Collection.

Over the past few years, I have been attending the Met's HD tansmissions on a selective basis. In other words, I only went to those operas that I knew I would like. Well, let's face it, the ones I loved. I have already written before about having seen Armida, for example.
This year, though, I decided to subscribe to all of them, even to the ones that I did not expect to like. Russian opera, for example. All that heavy, tragic, intense, dark drama that goes on for hours and hours. But I went to see Boris Godunov anyway, all 4 and a half hours of it. And loved ever gut-wrenching minute of it. Who knew?
Each opera gives me ample of inspiration and lots of new design ideas. I always take a small sketchbook with me and get a chance to do some sketching in the intermissions.
So now I have five new designs to offer: Opera Season II. Each one is based on a character from an opera and is meant to evoke the theme and mood of the opera itself. They include four shawl designs and one poncho/cape. Different sizing--and wearing--options are offered for each design, too.

You can pre-order the collection for $35.00 CAD. That's a 35% saving from the full retail price. Beginning in early February, I will be releasing these designs, one per month. This way you will be receiving a pattern a month until June.
If you want to knit each of the designs in the same yarns that I used, then you can pre-order the yarn kits as well.
Come and join me at the Opera!
