Pale Poinsettia

The new batch of Fleece Artist's Woolie Silk 3-Ply reminded me of the pale poinsettia I have as soon as I saw it.

Handpainted yarns are never the same, one dye lot to the next. At Fleece Artist, the dyers, being the artists that they are, love to play with different colour combinations. And I am always delighted to see how they vary their themes.

This lot of "Ivory" is quite unusual, with the extra concentration of pink. I love how it plays up the neutral cream, white and beige. A beautiful, light combo. When placed next to the poinsettia, it calls out to be knitted in some lacy, airy stitch pattern. Something feminine and elegant.

Something like Mermaid:

Or the Lake of the Woods:

This new batch of "Ivory" will not be repeated. So get yours now!
