Tulips in the Snow

The fifth and final "piece" in the Five Easy Pieces Club is now available: Tulips in the Snow.

I fell in love with this yarn when I first saw it just for the colours. They are irresistibly happy and evoke spring.
They reminded me of tulips in the snow.

Tulips in the Snow is a winter piece, though. A lacy cowl that you can wear as a head cover.

Or simply draped around your neck.

It is worked in the round and can be knit to any length you like--or for the amount of yarn you have available.
The lacy stitch pattern is quite intriguing as well and fun to knit. The Porcupine Stitch is completely reversible and looks the same on both sides.

Once you get the idea of how the Pocupine Stitch patttern works, this becomes the most relaxing knit. Just watch the colours of a self-striping yarn unfold in lovely lacy ripples.
