Unknown Hands

Near the end of the East Coast Trail at Pouch Cove in Newfoundland, one comes upon this huge sculpture built by unknown hands.
No doubt there were several people involved in building this in situ monolith. No mean feat on this point of exposed land on the edge of the North Atlantic Ocean.

Just as we knitters do in our knitting, building one stitch upon the next, these anonymous builders did the same thing with stones.

In an austere, but hauntingly beautiful landscape.
