In the “Land of the Midnight
Sun”, the sun is ever-present for a time in summer
and then it all but disappears in the winter. During the
times in-between, it sits at different points near the horizon,
throwing colours of many hues across the sky.
The “Midnight Sun” leg warmers play with the
colours of the sun against a neutral sky. Some of the colours
are fanciful; some are true. This stash-busting project requires
a substantial quantity only for the background. Even that
can change along the length of each leg warmer.
Each “sun” - or row of “suns” -
can be a different colour. Or choose a single colour for
the background and a single colour for the “suns” and
create a polka-dot version.
