Just when you think the technology can't get any more interesting for knitters, it does.
Toronto-based Julia Grunau with her team of computer wizards has come up with the one-stop shopping alternative for knitters looking for knitting patterns: Patternfish.
After gaining years of experience in the knitting industry as a representative for many companies, Julia was ready to introduce knitters to the world of knitting patterns in downloadable form. The Amazon.com for knitters! By bringing together the work of designers from all over the world, Patternfish offers a huge variety of patterns of everything from babies' blankets to elegant evening attire.
Designers such as Sally Melville, Perl Grey, Lanaknits, Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton, as well as companies such as Classic Elite and Reynolds, have signed on to Julia's vision and now these patterns are available for easy PDF download for anyone. Needless to say, when Julia described her project to me, I was eager to become part of it. Now you can find my patterns at Patternfish as well.
You can browse, moon over all the beautiful designs, make your choice, anytime--at your leisure.
Congratulations on your launch, Julia--and Patternfish team!
