Watery Ripples

I have just released the first pattern in the Five Easy Pieces Club: Watery Ripples.

As promised, it is an easy pattern, using an easy lace stitch pattern: a variation of the ever-popular Feather and Fan Stitch.

The shawl can be worked to any size you wish, just be adding or omitting the pattern repeats. You can go until you simply run out of yarn.

Worked downwards and outwards from the centre at the Back Neck to its gentle tip at the bottom, this piece simulates the action of waves, each one curling onto the next.

I loved working this piece largely because of the yarn: Zauberball Crazy. The colours are lovely and it is so much fun watching the colours as they change. This yarn has a medium-range colour repeat which works well with this design.

I look forward to seeing your versions of Watery Ripples. Each one is destined to be different--and beautiful.
