Summer in the CIty
Lately I have been selling a lot of yarn ktis for this pattern: Summer in the City.
I have to confess that it is one of my designs that I actually wear a lot myself. So I guess it's no wonder.
Easy to wear, it makes a great transitional garment, too. A graceful cover-up for cooler summer evenings, then on to an all-day substitute for a light jacket in fall.
Summer in the City is worked from the top down, so you can adjust it to any size and length you wish. Here it is in a short, capelet version, shown in Woolie Silk 3-ply "Bronze":
For summer, you can choose to make it in a cool linen yarn. Here is it shown in Euroflax Sport Linen.
It would work equally well made with Handmaiden's Flaxen.
The openwork stitch pattern, interspersed with Garter Stitch, also makes this a quick-to-knit piece.
Fun to make and wearability, too. What could be a better combination?
