River in Summer
This long, cardi-wrap amounted to relaxing summertime knitting for me. The ribbed lace stitch pattern had enough interest to keep me going while emulating the flowing waters of a river in summer.
The construction includes increases to form a ribbed collar as well as underarm short row shaping to give extra fabric at the hips.
The stitch pattern is completely reversible. Here it is with the reverse side showing.
This piece can be worn in different ways. If you prefer to wear it as a stole, simply omit the armholes and continue to work in the established pattern until it is as long as you lilke.
